The youth were then divided into teams and introduced to their team leaders.
After the briefing, they had an outing to the Nelson Mandela Square and also visited the mall for shopping.
The evening session began with moments of worship, along with many special presentations in music and dance from representatives of various countries.
The highly esteemed Rev. Tom Amenkhienan, BLW Director of Church Ministry, was the guest speaker at the session. He welcomed the youth to the program and encouraged them saying, “There’s something special about you being here, because you're special. You’re going to have an impactful, life-transforming experience. Open your spirit and receive everything that God is depositing inside you and you’ll turn out champions for life.”
He went on to exhort the youth, teaching them on a message he titled, ‘Your Destiny in God’. He explained that there are two kinds of destinies: the natural destiny which is controlled by environment, economy and other such factors, and the divine destiny which a person enters into once they become born again. “Your destiny will determine your destination,” said Rev. Tom. He expatiated that divine destiny entails unveiling God’s love, His Word and His glory to all men. “You’re God’s hope, His voice and His medium of expression in your world; that’s why you can’t keep quiet,” he admonished the youth.
Indeed, their destinies are being shaped for the glory of God, and these young ones are being transformed by the Word of God.

Don't keep quiet –all the Holy Spirit wants is for you to open your mouth and let Him fill it with life-giving words.”

The delegates received insight and increased knowledge as the man of God answered questions that had hitherto burned in their hearts.
In closing, Pastor Chris asked the youth to find the answers to the following questions, in readiness for the next day’s session: Who is the Holy Spirit? Where did He come from? What’s the difference between the first man and the new creation? What are the signs of the return of Christ? How will you impact your generation?
Stressing the importance of the last question, he said, “You’ve got to make a decision that your life is for the glory of God. No matter what you do, do it for the Lord. There's something supernatural inside us, and we’ve got to learn how to use it.
The evening ended on a high note, and the youth departed with heightened expectations.
The delegates testified to having enjoyed a marvelous time at the 2017 IEYC. From the first day of Camp, they received enlightenment and inspiration from the Word. Already, many are set to return to their countries and take the land with renewed fervency.

When you get back, fight that the Name of Jesus should be known where you are. Fight for the Gospel.”
The evening session commenced with the youth glorifying God with open hearts and lifted hands. There were several talk shows, including a GYLF talk show on strategies for more impact. In a discussion about their experience at the Camp thus far, one of the delegates said, "As much as I love it here, I can't wait to go back and start doing what God has created us to do. I look forward to the testimonies."

Expectant for increase in knowledge, the delegates glorified the Name of the Lord and were deep in worship when Pastor Chris arrived for the meeting. He exhorted the youth on the importance of True Worship. “Worshipping God with songs of praise and thanksgiving is very important to Him. So, when you get opportunities to do it, take it seriously, because big things happen when you worship.”
Explaining the Scripture in John 4:23, he said, “You can’t worship God in your own way. Jesus said ‘in spirit and in truth’. He meant that you worship Him from your spirit and based on the Word of God.”
The man of God again gave the youth delegates the opportunity to ask questions, and he answered each one with truths from the Bible, encouraging them to give attention to God’s Word. He also took time to specially minister to delegates who had health challenges in their bodies.
Things were taken up a notch on the final day of the 2017 International Easter Youth Camp with Pastor Chris, as the delegates woke up to a morning drill, during which their physical endurance was tested and pushed.

She also highlighted four factors for unlocking the hero within: desire, dedication, determination and discipline.
Lastly, she admonished the youth delegates to lead by following the right role models. Expatiating the Scripture in Philippians 4:9, she said, “The first way to follow somebody is to do what he has taught you. After being at the Camp, you should go back and do the things you’ve learnt – follow through the message.”

The man of God, Pastor Chris, gave an extensive discourse on demons and other forces of evil in the world, as well as their spiritual activities. Explaining the import of this knowledge, he told the youth that, “We've got to preach the Gospel, now more than ever. We can't just be quiet, because there's no other Name by which men can be saved.”
Charging the youth to remember who they are, he said, “Preach the Gospel fearlessly. Like David and Goliath, it doesn't matter how small you are or how big the enemy is, we will always win. Believe in who you are, who God has made you. Be the David to your generation.”
Afterwards, Pastor Chris ministered specially to delegates who had health challenges, and then proceeded to impart the youth delegates in various categories with a special grace, equipping them for this new level of their walk as ministers of the Gospel.

It was a beautiful sight to behold; surely, these youth campers will never be the same again. They are afire and are full of divine energy to preach the Gospel like never before. Glory to God!
